And what drew you to radio initially?
1:45
Well, a buddy of mine came.
1:47
I was actually in the middle of the summer.
1:50
I was a college student, and I worked nights at a Mexican restaurant.
1:54
And he came and woke me up one morning and says, you should come and follow me today to check out this radio thing.
2:01
So I got up, and I just basically shadowed him for a day.
2:04
And we had – it was fantastic.
3:18
And then also what we could do matters.
42:13
At any rate,
42:14
but that has been my commitment.
42:17
And I think we've done a great job.
42:19
The Student Newsroom Project has been, I think, a tremendous success.
42:23
We started, this is our third summer, where we create a boot camp over the summer, bring in some new students, give them a crash course in journalism.
42:33
This summer, they're going to be doing a bunch of stories about the midterm elections, which I think will be fascinating uh to me it's interesting to see how they see what's going on in the world around us and i i've been trying to tell this to my team over the last uh several months especially since i've been you know kind of gearing towards this retirement is that How Dave sees the world is great and wonderful for Dave, but it's not really relevant to our general audience because I'm older than our general audience.
43:04
My experiences aren't the same as our general audience across this community.

And so what are some of the things that you are most proud of from your 20-year history at KAWC?
