You've got a Bible remedy for our weariness this morning?
11:13
Yeah, I do.
11:14
I think the reality is we can't be up and energetic and 100% full of life every time, but God still is, like, kind enough to keep drawing us to himself.
11:23
And so I was just thinking about Galatians 6:9 this morning, where it says, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we'll reap a harvest if we don't give up."

11:36
Mm.
11:36
And I really love that verse.
11:38
There's a couple of things in there, like I think there's an acce- acce- an acceptance and expectation that sometimes you'll get weary.
11:46
Like it just sort of assumes don't, you know, don't, don't beat yourself up if you feel weary, 'cause it's part of the human condition.
3:22
How was it?
3:23
I just had the best.
3:25
I had six weeks off.
3:26
Leading up to that, I was in need of a rest.
3:29
There's probably a lot of people listening who are in need of a rest or know what it's like to be in need of a rest.
3:33
And so for the first two weeks, my 15-year-old daughter and I ran around Greece and Turkey.
3:39
So we were doing a bit of a cool thing where we were looking at what was happening in the biblical church and what was happening in your key places like Athens and Ephesus and the places you can literally sit at and read the bible at the place it's written so we did that a lot but she's also um an english buff and so she loves homer's works of like the iliad and the odyssey and so we were doing uh it's it's such a geeky tour to do but a father and son going to all the places where those things were growing together and just sort of like okay framing that.
7:57
The short break or the long break, I mean, they're both going to be important at times, but it's important, I guess, to have short breaks from work if you really get into the sort of work routines that can wear you down quickly.
