14:15
Well, and again, I had no idea.

8:29
like hey do you remember me that's a
8:30
good one yeah yeah for sure you know one of the It's in my top 10 regrets easily.
8:41
When we played at the Rock Candy, it was a brand new club, and it was Anna Nancy Wilson and us, Pearl Jam played, and Matt wasn't there, but Chris was there, and he wanted to do a Temple of the Dog song.
9:01
And I was like, oh my God, I can't play that stuff.
9:06
I'll just, I mean, you know i i kind of felt like at the time like oh i'm you know i am showing how much you my attitude has just got to express the deep respect i have for matt cameron and and i was super nervous too i mean you know so green back then it if i i would never turn that opportunity you know but I just think, man, that was my one chance to go play a song with Chris, and I didn't do that.
9:42
Yeah, to this day.
9:44
But then sitting down with him in a pizza place, parlor in la i mean this is a while ago now this is probably 2010 something like that and just you know with some other dudes talking about and not music at all just others you know just life hanging out and right that was great you know sharing a slice just chilling
11:39
it's kind of funny too because friends of mine will be like hey can you get me backstage i'm like really listen there's nothing really going on there like i'm sitting with one of the band members and we're sharing pictures of our grandkids you know it's it's not it's not the 80s and 90s you know you know uh but i think people need to see that other side because i think maybe they would understand and be more chill when it comes to artists too to realize that hey they're just human beings just like you that happen to play music you know and have a passion for it that's all yeah so what's your favorite part of your involvement in king ultra mega
32:43
And so let's talk, like, how did they approach you? Did you get to choose this track to be on? Did they offer you this track? I know they're basically doing like a track at a time and sort of dripping it out until a whole record is ready.
32:55
Well, Mark got a hold of me and yeah, I was floored, really super honored to be asked to be involved and sounded like a really great project.
33:06
And I, too, am a huge Soundgarden fan and a Chris Cornell fan since, I guess, the mid-'80s, really, since I started out.
33:17
So, yeah, I was really honored to be asked.
33:22
And then the song, I think that was Mark's idea.
33:26
And immediately, like, okay, like, I was very, And he was super cool about it.
33:35
He's like, you know, do your thing and don't, you know, no stress, just have fun with it.
