No, this isn't a rant.

It's more just an observation because I'm old.

Yes.

But I, I live with a chronic condition now, and have for the last five years, called dysphagia.

And so for four years I have been a patient partner for the Aging Swallow Research Lab at McMaster University.

And so what I've done over that time, and the, the incredible team there, um, I- I've, uh, presented at, at a conference in Chicago, a national one here in Montreal, uh, this with over the last sort of year and a bit.

Um, and my story, which I, you know, it's me in the first person, obviously the smart people put it into an academic setting, uh, was published, uh, I'm gonna say two months ago, in the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology.

So I, I'm doing that work.

It's advocacy, um, for people in, who share my condition, and it's also, um, you know, it's, there's obviously an educational component if I, I, I believe.

Mm
