I just feel like from their standpoint, the way the roster looks now, the way the Western Conference around them has become a little more friendly, I just think they have a tough time taking that strategic step back.

So, I mean, you definitely covered all the bases there.

So as far as what the Rockets chose to do, the assignment that they took on, I think I would give them an A. I think they did well.

I think Marcus Smart, for the money he signed, was great value.

I think getting Tari Eason extended is good.

For what they got him for, I thought that was great value.

In hindsight, was maybe the 2025 offseason to think more strategically? Because I do feel like at least part of what's going on now, they probably explored the market and the deals just weren't there from a value perspective that really made sense for them to make that type of move.
