Why would we be spending our hard-earned American taxpayer dollars to a country thousands of miles away? In your day-to-day conversations, Dave, I mean, how would you push back on that? What are, what are people missing?

Look, I think people are missing two really big issues.

Why does the U.S. support Israel? Why do we help support other allies? I think there's, there's two reasons.

I think people are missing the fact that it is in America's strategic and security interest to invest in a strong, stable, capable, reliable ally in a very unstable part of the world, the Middle East.

Um, it serves American purposes, and frankly, without Israel in the Middle East, you'd have much more of an American presence.

So it serves America's interests.

The second thing is just the straight-up economic argument.

Um, and I think that in this latest, uh, war, um, it's been a real wake-up call for various countries throughout the Gulf what, what it's like to be Israeli.
