Nobody was anticipating her return more than her husband, Daryl.

It's been a tough experience, and it's something that I would not want any couple to have to go through.

But when you have two people that are in love and they marry for better for worse, you just get the worst out of the road first, I guess, and that's what we've done, and we've managed to keep our relationship as solid as it was the day we met.

I'm looking forward to us rejoining our lives together.

As Daryl McCarter told a local reporter at the time...

They wanted to know whether or not I had been harboring the fugitive.

And had they thought I had been harboring the fugitive, I would've been arrested and put in jail on the spot.

But after two hours of interrogation, they realized her family and me did not know her past, and therefore we were not an accomplice in harboring a fugitive, and they let me go.

And incredibly, even though they'd been lied to, they immediately stood by her.

Here's a woman that they say was a, a convicted felon for first-degree murder, and I said, "That's not my wife.

She's not that kind of person.

She couldn't commit that kind of a crime."
