What are your concerns?

Yeah, this is a really serious issue, and it's really hard, isn't it? Because I used to be in the anti- anti- anti-feeding br- br- brigade.

I would've told everybody that you're silly to, to feed the birds, and they'd all die of starvation when you stop and all those sorts of myths.

It's not true.

Um, yeah, what we're, what we're concerned about is the fact that we do something really unnatural.

We concentrate a whole bunch of birds coming to one place every day.

Like, if you put out food on a tray or something, the birds will come and feed on it every day because it'll be regular, and that's, uh, very unusual in the bird world.

You're worried that a bird feeder could be like a super spreader event.

How did you manage your day job while building your multifamily portfolio?

That's a that's a great question.

The short answer is it's not easy initially.

Everything that involves gain and growth involves some pain and sacrifice.

It's a challenge.

I'm still working full-time with my IT consulting.

We're getting to the point now where I can start phasing out of that, but I've been in commercial real estate now for, let me think, it'll be three years in November since I purchased my first property, I think.

So Daryl, when you first saw the 12 unit in Virginia, what made you say this is the one, even though it was priced at 1.5 million?
