And then I had a six-month career break before I started my A&E job, and I decided I was gonna, rather than do another specialty for six months, I figured I had a whole life of that, I was gonna take this opportunity to go and try and do some writing and just sort of hang out for six months since I'd spent, you know, the-

And I moved to New York for six months, and while I was there, uh, a friend had given me a book called The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron, who's a, a coach in creativity.

She was formerly married to Martin Scorsese, I think, and was very involved in encouraging all those... that whole group of filmmakers back in the day.

Through doing this course, this sort of self-directed course, I ended up in an acting class, and that changed my life.

Just I got the bug, and I was obviously at this crossroads age-wise and in my life, and I just realized I had to do this.

You know, I came back to London, did my A&E job, which was amazing.

You know, I always wanted to do that, and it was an incredible experience, and I started working in the hospital there, um, for the first... doing my house jobs, where I worked, uh, in the surgical department and the medical department.
