spoken a lot about the sport side of it but away from that you've become a motivational speaker and have a real focus on psychology and helping others to transform their lives and you know there's that old saying isn't there that in order to help others you need to really know yourself as a person so what would you say is the biggest thing you've learned about yourself
15:07
You know, when I started my journey with psychology, I'd worked with, just before I'd qualified, or just after I qualified for Beijing, they'd given us access to a performance psychologist.
15:20
And, you know, I was, I'm old school really.
15:23
i was a bit skeptical about psychology i didn't really want people messing with my head didn't want them um you know it seemed like a sign of weakness etc etc and and he kind of um it was it was such an insightful kind of conversation with him that I came out of that meeting wanting to know more.
15:41
And I think I've always had that element in me in life where if I don't know something, I'm just going to go and dig a little bit deeper and find out.
15:51
So I went and studied it.
15:52
I thought the best way to understand this more is to go and study it.

What would you say to those people who are struggling right now, who are listening to you and want to build upon their own little successes?

What point did that come into your life as a hobby?
9:11
Oh, from day dot.
9:12
I was probably from when I was sort of kicking inside my mum's tummy.
9:15
Like, you know, that was me ready to burst out and... run around like a maniac so i was one of those kids who was was very active from a very early age just loved running around doing any sort of sport i was always climbing trees as a child and climbing onto sheds and onto roofs and going onto swings and having these jumping competitions on swings and We used to play postman's knock in those days and, like, knock on people's doors.
9:44
And everyone was a bit fitter in those days.
9:47
So sometimes you'd get chased and you'd be getting chased for, like, a mile by some person.
9:53
And we were always on bikes and, you know, making our own sort of ramps and things like that.

Is there a point where you get that call up? What was that moment like? Because was it kind of almost like a dead cert that you were going to play for England?
