I got to first definitely give a shout out to my president.

Well, to start, can you tell us a little bit more about yourself, other than what I mentioned in the introduction, or maybe you want to expand upon it, about your journey and what led you from military and federal leadership into coaching and facilitation?

Sure.

So my journey, as we talked before the show, really started Growing up in Compton, California, those that have seen the movie Boys in the Hood, that was the era that I actually grew up in.

And my sister and brothers grew up during the era of straight out of Compton.

So for me, being the oldest, I wanted to make sure whatever decisions I made were positive ones that affected them as well.

And so for me, that led to joining the military.

I joined the military right out of high school.

Given your experience leading in high pressure environments, like in the military, right? And in government, what is one leadership lesson you learned under pressure that still shapes how you coach others today?

Tell us what the issue is that makes AI so unreliable right now.

It is error.

It is error.

And then when it doesn't have enough information, it guesses.

The problem we run into is that the volume of data is so great.

And when I created these algorithms in the military, it was to combat strategic surprise.

The president doesn't want to wake up in the morning and find something happened.

Some of it is what, sort of algorithms that look and detect things that clearly were designed to be misinformation? It is.

Talk to us a little bit about the founding of PartSol, the history of it, and yourself.

Thank you for having me here today.

The, uh, the history of this really goes back to my years when I was, uh, was, uh, in the military.

I was an officer in the Air Force.

And, uh, in the national security arena, we are inundated by global flows of data, and from those global flows of data, it's critical that in security that there is no strategic surprise.

You don't wake up someday and find out that which you should have known actually comes to pass and you didn't know it.

And so I was left, in the, uh, the mid-1990s, I was left with the, with the problem of how does one discover in global flows of data information that is deemed to be undiscoverable? And so back then, uh, I created these algorithms that, in essence, deconstruct and map supply chains of everything, and from that, uh, you're then able to discover things.

Is the algorithms behind those that drive a, a certain way of outcomes versus others? Talk about the, the, the effort or the secret or the thought in developing those algorithms that then feed into what you're doing.
