Now we'll come back to that, but at the moment, Danielle, do you want to tell us what were the experiences that you had? You know, did you find it very time consuming? Did you find it very helpful? How did you feel that your mentor rose to that occasion? to support you through the RCVS GDP?

Danielle GoldsGUEST
Yeah, I think it's actually a really good process to go through for the individual.

Danielle GoldsGUEST
So I feel like we probably unnecessarily put ourselves through a lot more when actually we could probably just find a set time to sit down.

Danielle GoldsGUEST
I think that would be the best way to look at doing it is to set it as if it's homework or set it as if it's part of your day-to-day job, because it really is.

Danielle GoldsGUEST
I think it's the way I view the GDP is it's kind of setting you up to transition from being a student where, It's part of your curriculum to reflect in essays and as part of your course feedback to a fully fledged practitioner where you may not be doing that.

What's your guidance for people when they experience that? I know a lot of people stay quite a long time because of the fear of the unknown, what's to come next or is the grass always greener? But do you have any specific advice on what to do when you start to find that your first job just isn't supporting you in the way that you truly need to progress in the profession?
