So I think part of the work that we do here at Curtin and also across West Tech Fest is looking at what might our future look like.

And sort of what got us here often might not get us to the next stage.

So when people are thinking about perhaps a bit of fear amongst jobs and things like that, what we try to do is look at these emerging industries which are creating new jobs.

jobs will always be there humans will always be needed they just might not look exactly the same so there's things like space the work that's happening obviously in mining and things like that at the moment robotics remote remote operating robotics that's happening in the mining industry you know there's some huge opportunities in western australia to lean into our natural strengths agriculture the blue ocean economy, things like that, that we do really, really well.

And there's opportunities to really come together, think about how we can bring our community together, create new jobs in these emerging sectors.
