Danielle, let me ask you, you've obviously been on your own ITP journey, but I'm curious if you could help us zoom out When did you start to realize that there are challenges that go beyond you as an individual? And what was the need for greater patient support, advocacy? And how has that really shaped a lot of the work you've been doing across Australia and New Zealand?
4:34
Thanks, Jeff.
4:34
So I've had ITP now for more than a decade.
4:37
So I'm one of those traditional but not so traditional chronic patients.
4:42
And when I was first diagnosed, I was really lucky to be diagnosed by one of Australia's leading clinicians in the ITP space.
4:51
And I could see from my marketing background that information was fairly thin on the ground for me personally.
4:59
And all of the information that I was getting wasn't necessarily relevant because I was getting it from two other amazing sources, the PDSA in the US and the ITP Support Association in the UK.

Danielle, I'm wondering, as you were going through and participating in the research and helping to craft this message, what is it about the importance of the clinician being a good listener to understand the individual experience of a patient that you would want us to know about?

And have there been any sessions today on that note that you found particularly interesting? Maybe not today, maybe over the conference or before?
10:20
I think the things that we're really excited about to see and to hear from clinicians and HCPs is lots of discussion around heavy menstrual bleeding.
10:33
More than 50% of the population go through this at one time or another.
10:39
And it's really good to see that the conversation is now starting to catch up with some of the things that we've been working on for a little while.
10:46
And it's...
10:47
Yeah, it's really promising and I think the sooner we start working in this area and start doing the research and, you know, even just the education and discussions around these topics will just be so monumentally beneficial to not just our female patients or people assigned female at birth but, you know, those that support them as well.
11:13
Yeah.

Did you want to talk a little bit more about your organisation, your hookups?
