Should we get more specific, brother? How would you suggest that a minister order his schedule then? I'm not asking you to get into my calendar right now and set it for me, brother, but are there some practical pointers that you would have for pastors in this regard? Yeah.
26:22
Yeah, so I think Dr. Davidson probably has thought more about how to give information, instruction on this.
26:35
I'm sure it takes up a part of the pastoral theology classes and those sorts of things.
26:41
I was helped early on by Mart Lloyd-Jones, what is it, preachers in Preachers and Teachers.
26:54
I'm mixing titles now.
26:56
Preachers and Preaching.
26:57
That's what it is.

I need to spend more time in just the literal study, but it may also mean increasing how my thinking patterns are in the, in the in and out events of the day.
12:19
[laughs]
12:19
So, uh, so Thomas Collier- ... produces a docu- He's doing this and then he produces a, a work, a book called A Confession of Faith, and his ties back to the London churches, uh, brought, brought them under suspicion or at least could bring them under suspicion.
12:37
And so, um, and so they publish, uh, they publish a version of the S- of the Westminster.
12:45
Basically, they take the Westminster, which had been revised by the Congregationalists, um, called the Savoy Declaration, and they take that and then they revise it again, uh, with Baptist principles and, um, uh, baptism of, of believers alone and that, that sort of thing, and publish that in 1677.
13:05
But they publish it anonymously, because in the 1670s, you know, um, Bunyan was, was imprisoned when he wrote, um, Per- uh, Pilgrim's Progress, right? So it's that period where there's a lot of persecution.
13:20
So they have to publish the, the confession p- uh, anonymously.
13:24
And then, um, and then in 1689, um, the churches that held to that confession were able to gather and, um, and they dealt with all kinds of things, church planting and, and ministerial support and various other things.
