Daniel, is the boycott of... israel by what i think five countries is it hanging like a cloud over the event or is it being ignored by all and sundry

it's definitely a conversation it's the thing that people are talking about the most i would say it's how is the boycott going to affect the competition and then probably the next line of conversation is what about the competition itself who are the runners and riders just yesterday there was a press conference and in it the director of eurovision a guy called martin green He was asked about those five countries who aren't taking part this year.

And he said, look, Eurovision is a family and we miss those five countries dearly and we are working to get them back and we want them back.

Now, I've been told that, you know, that conversation depends country by country.

It's not a one size fits all.

They've all got... sort of different issues with the song contest.

Some of it is to do with allegations to do with Israel manipulating the vote, which, you know, it denies.

Has anything been done to change the voting in circumnavigating that expectation or that belief that it was somewhat dubious?
