Difficult, difficult night indeed.

It's I think it's about trade offs for Chablonzo, right? Because I feel like with the Brentford game, it feels a lot bleaker because there wasn't the chaotic, maybe attacking flair that we've seen in recent games, where at least you have a bit of joy.

You can kind of make argument about some positives.

The problem when you have a situation like that where.

Maybe it's one of the questions I've had so far is the attacking brilliance at the expense of the defence.

And I guess the Brentford game, all right, we don't have Dral Pedro, who's obviously such a huge part of that front three, but you did think watching that game, we look a little bit more structurally sound, but there's quite clearly a trade-off and suddenly the attack doesn't look as fluid.

Now, you've got to bring in the fact that, yeah, Brentford at that stadium and also just Brentford generally are so much more structurally sound and compact and they're just so intelligent with what they do.

Does Caicedo coming back solve it or is it for you something, something more?

I mean... how do you think he's going to line up what sort of style of football does he play i mean you talk about if you think about arsenal's sort of style defensively we are unbelievable midfield is stacked we want to control the game we want to play outside your box we want to get our inverted full backs outside of your box runner put pressure um we get used to playing these sort of uh deep low stubborn blocks um and we try and suffocate our opponents what's the xabi alonso blueprint

Yeah, I feel like obviously a lot was the shape you've got on screen now of kind of the 3-4-3 was something that I think a lot of Chelsea fans, when we appointed Alonso, felt like was going to be kind of his predominant formation because of the Leverkusen success and looking at the tools that he had even before any signings had been made.

And then during pre-season, when pre-season started, obviously you've got that filter of players from the World Cup returning.

He actually was playing more of a back four.

And then I think we hit midway through pre-season.

I think it was like a game against AC Milan.

And suddenly we moved to basically this shape and things started to click together.

So when you think about the potential Arsenal line-up, from a Chelsea perspective, how do you feel about our team? What sort of jumps out at you, either as strength or potentially even weakness?

That, that kind of exit obviously kind of at an early stage of your career already kind of primes a belief that- Maybe we'll see something like that in the future.

Like literally within months of joining Chelsea, it, it almost felt like weeks there were rumors about him leaving for Real Madrid.

Obviously, I, I think this year has kind of obviously really accelerated it, uh, because of the World Cup.

But, but you know, you, you track it back to the summer of 2024 when obviously that incident where he's in the live stream, um, singing that racist chant against, I believe it was the French players, wasn't it, after the, uh, Copa America win.

I'd suggest if you're a United fan and you're looking into Santos, uh, Enzo Maresca in kind of a, a very late decision decided to use Andrey Santos effectively at the, the sole defensive midfielder against Palmeiras in the quarterfinal.

Um, and I think Reece James had got injured right before the game, uh, so he had to make a quick decision, and Santos played a very mature, very, uh, disciplined, really noteworthy performance.
