I would say it's slowly changing as people become more aware of the technologies and options out there.

The main thing is it depends on your application.

Like in Texas, everything is ducted.

There's very few houses that never had air conditioning and you have to put wall mounts in there.

However, in California, they didn't need air conditioning very much back in the day, I guess, because they have flat roofs, no attic space, no ductwork.

It's all just rooms.

Maybe you addressing that and the advantage of an inverter driven motor, like an ECM.
