It is, there is bias.

For sure there's bias.

I mean, this is documented very, very well.

I think that the mistake is when we make bias the problem.

Because we are, like human beings are hardwired to trust their in-group and be suspicious of their out-group.

Why are they leaving?

I think there are a couple of groups of factors.

One would be, um, factors that all of us who are, who are, uh, here talking and listening today would understand living in Canada.

Um, they affect everybody.

Housing's expensive, food's expensive, uh, there are challenges in the healthcare system, in the education system, et cetera.

The difference is is that if you're a nurse for example from another country, you can work just about anywhere.

You're highly in demand.

What do you make of that?

That's concerning.

Yeah, it's absolutely concerning, and I think you alluded to this earlier.

There's a lot of talk about immigration right now.

There are a lot of Canadians who are uneasy about the immigration system and who want there to be less immigration.

I don't always agree with some of these arguments, but I understand where they're coming from.

And the prevailing narrative seems to be, all right, let's refocus on quality over quantity.

That's, I think, what I'm hearing a lot of people say.
