I- I've got a real good talent here"? Did you notice it or did people around you notice it first?

Dani JuncadellaGUEST
Um, already in my karting days I remember the team I was racing for was the biggest Spanish team, and it's the guy that basically discovered Fernando Alonso.

Dani JuncadellaGUEST
And he once said to my dad, "Uh, the day that your son, uh, believes in his ability and in his talent, nobody will beat him." And I thought, "Wow, that's, uh..." You know, I, I was, uh, like I said, I had this kind of imposter syndrome that I had a pretty low self-confidence.

Dani JuncadellaGUEST
Um, and every time something was not going my way, I was easily losing that, and that has been a bit of sort of my weakness my whole career.

Dani JuncadellaGUEST
Obviously now at 35 and with such a long career behind me, it's something that rarely appears.

Like, "I need to win this race, I need to win this championship." Whereas back then you were kind of reserve driver one week, doing something else, doing this, doing that, and you just, you were trying to sort of ultimately end up in Formula 1, but then you're like, "Well, if that doesn't work, I still need to think about something else." D- do you think it makes it easier, like now, the position you're in?

Peter SnowdenCORRESPONDENT
I've got Danny Young-Cadea from the Genesis Magma racing car, one of our favourite cars partly for the colour, but it's probably the least of your worries right now.

Dani JuncadellaGUEST
It's a long race ahead, so that's the main focus now, just try to stay calm.

Dani JuncadellaGUEST
We've obviously been really strong in qualifying, but I think we already knew that our race ability was going to be tricky because bottom end power is a bit of an issue and it's a bit frustrating when you're driving because you cannot race the others so much.

Peter SnowdenCORRESPONDENT
When you say it's a bit of an issue without giving too much away, what is the issue with the bottom end power for you as a driver?
