united states and people's frame of mind prince we all know was quite intuitive and utilized his pulpits in ways that were somewhat ninja-like this was something that the average purple person might not have paid attention to I also enjoy the fact that he made it into somewhat of a jam because, in my opinion, that way you have to pay attention to its message a tad deeper.

D'Angela Duff here, also known as Pilot Solid, and I would like to offer you my reflections about America.

When I think of America, I think of three things.

The first thing that I think of is the extraordinary, delightful 10-minute video that was released as part of the Around the Rome of the Day album.

And what was so extraordinary about this particular America video is one, this was the first time that I saw Prince play drums live.

Now we had seen him play and another video from the Prince album, but it was not the same because it wasn't live.

And you knew that the America video was live and it was extended because again, it was 10 minutes long and I always loved as many minutes as you can get with Prince.

Why do you think that was?

Because he was just so diverse in all of the different genres that he mastered.

You know, like, he could play rock, he could play soul, he could play gospel, he could play classical, he could play country.

Anything [chuckles] you wanted to hear, Prince could actually play it, and also because he was constantly touring and constantly putting out albums.

You know, he almost put out, like, 39 albums on his own, but he was writing other music for others.

You know, obviously, you know, Chaka Khan's I Feel for You, that song was written by Prince.

Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U, that was written by Prince.

Mm.
