How did you get to this point?

Yeah, for sure.

I'm so excited to be here with you.

So my origin story, I went to school after I went to college after high school and got an undergrad.

It was time to pick a major and I didn't have one.

I still didn't know what I wanted to do.

And I had the most credits in sociology.

Like, what did life look like between then and now?

And the players, the teams, I mean, it is such a fun atmosphere to go see baseball.

It is.

There's something for everybody.

And, you know, it used to be Jimmy John's field.

Now it's UWM field.

So that's just a little change for everybody to get used to.

But we have four teams that play out of our league.

... get a real clear, honest feedback, um, from, from partners when you're in a power imbalance, um, such as you are when you're in a foundation, right? So, um, so what the Center for Effective Philanthropy does is they run these grantee perception surveys.

Um, they reach out to grantees directly so that grantees can offer anonymous feedback, and they do these surveys with about...

Uh, there's over 300 foundations at this point who participate.

Um, so there's a way to really gauge how are you doing compared to, um, how other foundations in the space are doing.

How do your grantees perceive you? Um, and so we did this survey first in 2022, back when we had a team of two, um, and we got really strong results.

We were, I think, above the 80th percentile on all of their key sort of categories, except for, um, community impact, um, was the one place where we were a little lower in our scores.
