What may make this attempt to pass the Save America Act different?

Yeah.

So the House of Representatives originally passed the original Save Act last April.

So I think that's over 300 days ago.

After pressure of recognizing that the Senate hadn't been moving on it previously, people brought their heads together and say, all right, what can we do? And recognized, all right, how can we even strengthen it to build a better bill and move forward through the House and Senate again? So that's how the Save America Act was born and is now moving through the House of Representatives.

It will come up for a vote this week in the House.

From your guys' perspective, you know, what are you thinking about? What do you think Americans should be thinking about as we go through this?

So what was wrong with the STOCK Act?

Yeah.

The STOCK Act, w- as you kind of explained very well, uh, operated, operated as a fig leaf, basically creating a system in which they c- um, members of Congress could trade stocks, report it late, pay a small fee, um, and then basically get away with it.

Um, there's some, there's been so many times where members of Congress will report their stock trades late, make, make m- a lot of money, and then actually, uh, and no, and, and all of a sudden no one's accountable for it 'cause they technically reported it.

Um, and they basically, in the 2012 STOCK Act, applied standards more for Wall Street that's for c- than for Capitol Hill and decided, "Oh, th- this is fine."

Uh, tell me what the Stop Insider Trading Act, the Steil Act, what, what does that do?

Yeah.

So, uh, I guess kind of two major, major things here.
