Can you tell us the Dan Ingvarson story in particularly in relation to AI in education?
3:58
Well, in about 2019, I did some papers with, draft papers with John Hattie, where we looked at how EdTech was being used in education and what was the ways that you could classify EdTech as aligning with good teaching practice.
4:19
So how does an EdTech product work and does it align to what we know in research is good in teaching? And we worked out that there was basically a ceiling in terms of the way that EdTech could work that would require interpretation of the text, natural language processing that became LLM.
4:36
So we worked on creating some scales to describe what that might look like.
4:42
That led me to basically saying, this is gonna be huge.
4:46
This is going to really revolutionize education because it's the first time we can see inside intent from teachers.
4:53
And that makes a really big difference in terms of how you can support them, how you can support learners.

What advice do you have them about the current stage we're up to now? Let's say that their school really hasn't gone down the the thought track yet about ai they're not actually talking about it in in staff rooms yet it's still very early days for that school what advice do you have for classroom teachers who are kind of battling with that
