So, Dan, what's a big misconception that people have about the Mississippi?

That's a good question.

I know for me, the lowest part of the river from Baton Rouge on, I had a lot of misconceptions about that.

My first trip in 2021, I chose to finish the trip on the Atchafalaya River.

And that's how I got out to the Gulf of Mexico.

And that's a great alternative.

And the reason I did that was to avoid all the barge and river traffic, the huge ocean-going ships and things that are on the lower river.
