and we played around we played a cbgb's we played on long island we we did some recordings that i don't think ever actually they did come out our our great friend chris did a uh cassette compilation cassettes were kind of like the thing now you could it was very now then yeah i guess and i guess now too I know, exactly.

He did a compilation.

Chris was super active in the music scene, recording different bands, and so he did a compilation called The Origin of Grapefruit, which I think should probably be re-released.

okay and back with ha ha ha it had a lot of uh resonance for me because my father was actually involved in the love canal cleanup for the state of new york he worked for the state of new york so i was like wow love canal like i knew all about it um and i heard the song on uh wmiu and i was like i gotta gotta grab this and i was lucky that there was a cool record store in town which there wasn't in the town upstate where i had lived and uh I grabbed a copy of that.

I met a bunch of people who had the Sex Bomb single, which I didn't have, with Brainwash on the back, which was just too cool with the rock groove.

I remember our band in high school doing, We had this gig at a Howard Johnson's, at the bar at a Howard Johnson's.
