How did that turn into your career and and commentating on sports?

Well, it wasn't a linear progression because I never at any point really wanted to talk about sports for a living because it wasn't a job.

When I was a kid, there was no sports radio in Chicago.

There obviously was no podcasting.

It just wasn't a thing.

If you talked about sports, you did play-by-play.

Unless you did the 10 o'clock news and you had your two minutes to give the scores.

How do you live with that as somebody who lives in this life today, but you also knew what it was like before?
