Different situations for all of us, but what would you say is, like, the biggest change from year two, from year one to year two?
6:43
I just, I feel like even when I'm in the locker room, it's just, like, understanding what is coming, you know, understanding what's next.
6:50
You know, I feel like last year everything was so new to you and, You just come in and you're like, I don't know what's going to happen.
6:59
Countdown, first exhibition game, and this year it was just like, okay, I already did this last year.
7:05
I already know what's there for me.
7:08
I know how to prepare.
7:09
I know what I have to do to be ready.
10:40
Like, you know what I mean? And, yeah.
1:34
When we were talking with Coach Scheyer about Kon Knipple and the great rookie year he had in the NBA, he said, "This is a guy who could have averaged 20 a game at Duke, but you go to Duke understanding that you might have to sacrifice in some ways for the betterment of the team." Are there areas of Dame Sarr's game that we haven't seen so much yet because, frankly, we didn't have to within a team concept?
1:58
Yeah, probably, just like anybody else on the team, you know? I feel like everybody, if you play at Duke, there is a reason, you know? Anybody that comes to Duke is sacrificing a lot of playing time, a lot of touches, you know, just to be in a winning program.
2:12
So, you know, I definitely think I've got a lot better from last year, and I'm just looking forward to, to expand my game throughout the years.
2:20
I just, I, I really believe this is the, today's Dame is the worst Dame that's gonna be, you know? So as long as I keep getting better every day and every year, I'm, I'll be, uh, proud of myself, and I'll be, I'll be successful, I think.
2:56
What is your earliest memories of following basketball and learning the game?
3:02
Uh, I started really watching basketball when I was 13, 14, when I first moved out of, you know, living from my, with my parents to living by myself, and just really, like, watching basketball.
3:13
And I had great coaches who, who were just telling me that, you know, it's important to watch or just to, like, look at other people, how they play and just learn about, you know, how great players play.
3:25
And I just fell in love with watching people play and watching games and, and since then until now, I always try to watch games.
79:43
Why- how difficult was it to decide to come back to Duke when you had other options, including going to the draft?
79:50
Yeah.
79:51
I just felt like this was the best option for me.
79:53
Uh, I just felt like there was much more I could learn from the game of college basketball, and just looking to play a lot more and just, you know, Coach Scheyer being here, Coach Dooly, all the coaches just...
80:06
And the team we have, I just, you know, having the chance to win a national championship, I feel like whenever you win, everybody gets to eat.
80:13
So I have the opportunity to win, so it was a no-brainer for me.

164:55
Why, how difficult was it to decide to come back to Duke when you had other options, including going to the draft?
165:02
Yeah.
67:00
What was that process like for you in March?
67:02
Uh, I actually went to b- I, I took like a week off for sure just to recover my body and then I was already back, you know, working on my, on my body thinking about how, how could I get better? And, you know, about last season I think we had a great season.
67:18
We had an amazing season.
67:19
We had 35 wins.
69:36
Mm.
69:36
And that's, that's who I felt like, uh, had to have the ball for us in order to win, you know, and he was making plays for us.
69:43
So I feel like this year we're gonna do the same thing.
69:45
You know, whoever we feel like is in that position or can help us, you know, create plays, make plays, and, you know, just...
