Mm-hmm
7:22
...
7:23
when you need to pay for registration, when are you paying property taxes outside of mortgage? You've gotta set that aside.
7:29
Um, I had a client come to me, her and her husband.
7:32
They had been asked by their financial advisor, "How much do you need every single month to live on?" She's like, "I don't even know that." I'm like, "Well, let's get started." She was mortgage-free, debt-free, everything, not carrying any credit card balances, but she was not planning for these expenses.
7:48
And so as we created the system that I help all of my clients create, she was able to realize how much easier and stress-free, right, to have her 10,000 for her homeowner's insurance, her 10,000 for her property taxes, and those came due at the same time.
8:04
And so instead of stressing about, "What am I gonna take from? Where is this gonna come from?" It's being, you know, having that plan for that.
12:37
So- In your experience with coaching couples, what do you, f- what do you notice, like, with the struggle with that? That, uh, it seems like that's a lot to unpack, but I'm just curious your thoughts on that.
4:38
system look like
4:40
so we have a budget i love budgets they're static though they're not action you need to have a tracking system with that um but it doesn't end there right those are what we mostly hear about budget and tracking and then i should be good that's not enough you need to have a savings plan and so when i help create the budget there is a savings amount left That is the piece where you get the most power from.
5:03
Meaning, is it going to help with your regular expenses? Is it going to go to retirement? What is it feeding? And how are we planning that need for now? I had a client and she was like, okay, my spending's not great.
5:15
We looked at it and I said, you just need to plan better.
5:17
She says, I don't want to not save, but I want to get my debt paid off.
5:21
I helped her create what I call a rule, and it was $75.25 for her extra money.
5:26
And she was able to pay off $5,000 of debt and save $2,500 in 90 days.
9:03
What do you feel are some of the hiccups or challenges that often derail people as they're trying this process or trying to do it maybe on their own?
