start joining the hackathons.

I was a team captain the last three years.

It's probably my number one favorite event at Explorer for me personally because of my coding background.

and automating things and monitoring.

You know, that's kind of my specialty.

So I had several people reach out to me this year because of what I did last year.

That was really impressive.

Maybe you can, uh, start us off with that.

Sure.

I, I would start attending VMUG events as a customer, you know, sitting in the back row, afraid to speak up, afraid to, to even share what I did.

And then over time, you know, like when I would go to Explore, there was a couple presenters that I've always tried to go to their sessions, you know, like William Lamons or Alan Renouf.

You know, they were people, because I was into automation, I just really enjoyed those sessions.

And I j- I would just sit there and think, "You know, someday I w- I wanna do this." And eventually, um, I got asked to talk about what I did with automation where I worked as a customer, and, and that kinda sparked my interest.

And then after that, I started blogging and, and doing more with VMUG.

But before we get even into that conversation, let's talk about how you actually came to be part of, uh, Broadcom.
