So how do you think universities should also think about capturing those types of outcomes? They're not those one-off unicorns that they like to, to talk about, but things that do have impact, even though they may not be the subject of a patent or a startup.

D. Max CrowleyGUEST
That's such a great question, and there's of course, I think, multiple levels.

D. Max CrowleyGUEST
There's, like, what is it, and how do we go about it? But, but most importantly, again, I think to your point, how do we measure it? How do we capture it? And I think there's a lot of things that we do within universities that work really well.

D. Max CrowleyGUEST
I would say that how we collect information about, um, institutional operations has been something that the entire sector struggles with, right? Um, you know, universities, each faculty lab is its own kind of universe in many ways, and so there might be once a year, right, some sort of, you know, annual faculty review that, um, comes out.

D. Max CrowleyGUEST
And we don't use that-- we use that for performance evaluation, but we don't necessarily use that data to understand organizational performance.

D. Max CrowleyGUEST
And I think that that's something that we should really think seriously about, of, you know, how the many make up the whole and also are m- bigger than the whole in many cases.

D. Max CrowleyGUEST
And so I think that that becomes really key is exactly as you're, uh, as you're saying.
