14:25
And it's
14:25
pretty, it's kind of dark right there.
14:27
Cause there's no lights right there.
14:29
So it's kind of, it's pretty dark right there before you get to that surface street right there.
14:36
So that's basically where, and that's where these, these figures were actually at that we didn't realize were there until about five minutes later.
14:46
Like I said, this is where my brother starts.
14:48
They're sitting there looking, they're looking at my team, even though I didn't know where my brother's team was at.

9 MINS LATER

24:00
Okay.
MattHOST
17:14
So for you, what did you expect, but also what was the plan? Did you have a plan? Do you need a plan? Tell me before you get on the ground to Afghanistan.
17:25
I had a bit of a plan.
17:26
I'd say you probably don't need one.
17:28
Uh, my expectations for the country had shifted quite a lot over the sort of preceding year or so before I went.
17:35
I mean, if you'd asked me two years ago now would I go to Afghanistan, the answer would probably have been no. Um, but then sort of a year before I got there, I started seeing more and more people go online and I thought, "Okay, well, if these guys can do it, I can do it." You know, I do a lot of travel as well.
17:50
I don't mind being in these situations.
17:52
Clearly if they're taking tourists, it, it's fine is kind of the way I was looking at it.

10 MINS LATER

MattHOST
27:40
But from your experience, is, would you say Afghanistan's an onion? There's a million different layers to paint and brushes and what you see in the media is completely false, or there are truths to that? Again, it's a loaded question, so [laughs] answer how you want.
46:58
Are they right at the top, the two that leave today, in terms of the assistance and the help and advice?
47:03
Definitely, yeah.
47:04
Definitely.
47:05
Um, I think [laughs]...
47:07
Um, I think Mo was obviously in a different way.
47:10
Um, he was always, you know, was, is, is, he would always lead and be a professional.
47:16
Um, he was always the first in the gym.
49:23
But there's optimism that, that next season will be better.
5:46
So there seems to be a, a little bond there on and off the pitch at the moment.
5:49
Yeah, I mean, obviously he's, he's, he's a new lad and there's a label on him that, uh, that, that y- you know, that we've paid this price for him.
5:58
Um, but it's about just bringing him in and just let him just, just feel calm and at home, just go and play his game, um, and not think much about, "Okay, I've been bought for this price." And-Of course, of course he will know, you know, that, you know, that he needs to help the team with goals and assists.
6:13
But first of all, just come in a team, be yourself, um, and we've seen that all week with him.
6:18
Um, yeah, yeah, I mean, as everybody already sees, you know, he can score goals, he can assist, um, he's an exciting player, pl- player as well.
6:28
Um, but on top of all that as well, he's an unbelievable lad.
6:31
He's always got a smile on his face, um, and yeah, he just enjoys the game.
6:49
(laughs) And there's so much quality within the, the squad there, and you know, it's a ni- a nice football club to join, in my opinion.
