And so the market is really failed to react to this because what harvest pressures will be overwhelming the market yet or?
3:02
Yeah, well, you know, farmers, from what I hear is they've been harvesting soybeans first.
3:07
And if you take a look at the crop progress report, it's, you know, it's right there for you.
3:11
You can see the crop progress really accelerate for soybeans at the expense of corn here and farmers are selling beans and storing corn it sounds like um which is nothing new right but it does you know even from the conversations we have with farmers throughout the midwest um that continues to hold true and you know there is some harvest pressure here also you know just in terms of new spec buying it's hard to buy soybeans corn or wheat when you really are in just a thicker harvest here so even if you do have Even if you do have traders out there that want to get long, they'll probably wait.
3:46
And other than with China buying, that's nice.
3:51
And we do have this $12.50, $12.55 support for November beans.
3:56
But there is no shortage of beans right now.
6:25
And is that the wheat market's biggest problem is that we're just not seeing the export business shift over, even though we've got problems in the Black Sea, Craig?
12:59
on both ends of that.
13:00
Sure, sure.
13:01
One of the things with how quickly AI is moving is I'm moving just as quickly because I keep building new things.
13:07
I have probably seven new products that I have not launched just because I don't want to confuse people.
13:14
So let's start.
13:16
It basically breaks into a few different things.
13:18
Training, we kind of talked about training is what it is.

12 MINS LATER

24:57
What are the three actions that you would take that you would recommend?
10:16
... compared to in Geelong.
10:17
Look, and, and that's how we started.
10:19
So when, feels like forever ago now, Kate being a landscape architect, I was working in sales and marketing, but I, I was still in horticulture, but I really wanted to get back into green life.
10:31
Kate was doing a few garden designs here, there.
10:32
We moved back to Echuca off the farm.
10:35
I wanted a bit of an easier life, uh, getting out of corporate sales, jump into Echuca and then next thing I know, we've got 30-odd staff, uh, two nurseries and, um, 20 acres production farm as well.
10:46
So life just changed a little bit quickly.

51 MINS LATER

61:39
Is there-- Like, are you sort of trying to keep on top of trends like that that happen 'cause you know people are gonna ask for those type of plants?

12:24
So is the market being held up by demand? Optimism about the China meeting next week? What is it?
12:30
Yeah, well, demand has definitely been strong here.
12:34
China's been buying a lot of soybeans, and that's just the government.
12:38
Private firms are probably going to have to come in and buy soybeans from the United States too.
12:43
And just looking at our estimates here, we could be at 25 million metric tons by the end of this calendar year, 2026.
12:49
And that doesn't even account for anything that might come after that, especially if South America has any kind of real weather problems here.
12:57
So There is that, we've got that meeting between the United States and China next week.
Michelle Rook
Michelle RookCORRESPONDENT
13:36
Is that market kind of waiting for more yield reports? Are we seeing a little harvest pressure at times when we try to rally?
4:18
We tested the 20 day moving average, but it seems like that holds, you know, from a, I guess from a technical standpoint, are we just consolidating here waiting for some new news?
4:29
Yeah, absolutely.
4:30
You know, the way the markets work, when you get to under 10% stock to usage, when the funds start to see that to develop, they pile in and they tend to pile in record long when they think the market for the, and let's face it for the entire marketing year now, between now and the end of August, early September of next year, we could be around 10% stock to usage or lower.
4:50
So in the first move, the funds pile in, they get very long.
4:54
The second move higher is the cash market taking us higher, right? Because Eventually, what's going to have to happen here is the export demand or the ethanol demand or the feed demand doesn't slow down.
5:05
And if it doesn't slow down, then the prices have to go higher, right? So what the funds will do is they're just sitting and waiting for the cash market to come higher.
5:13
We are seeing harvest pressure, and we are seeing those breaks during the harvest pressure.
8:32
So is this profit-taking, or is the market starting to get tired of this Black Sea rhetoric?
DevinHOST
14:19
This is great.
14:20
Well, now I've done time of life.
14:23
Now, now I don't care.
14:24
The very first time we went, we went, so it was Christmas time and the Opry in Nashville, they put on the big Christmas lights and stuff.
14:30
So we went there for a night and I, our first experience of the water park, I took her to the Opry land water park and there's an interior one.
14:39
And so there's an interior and an exterior part of the water park.
14:43
The interior version is all that was open because it was like 10 degrees outside.

23 MINS LATER

37:25
Do you just play, like, shows around town? Do you do any touring or anything like that? It seems like it's pretty, like, fun but casual still for you guys.
3:07
I, I, I mean, what are you watching the most here this week across the grain complex, Craig?
3:11
Yeah, for sure.
3:12
So, like, the Friday, the CFTC Commitment of Traders report came out.
3:16
I wanna say the funds were record long corn.
3:18
Same with meal.
3:19
They're pretty close to getting there with soybeans, not too far off, you know, and some of the wheat contracts.
3:25
So, I mean, right now the funds can only bring up the, the market so much, right? Now, if we're gonna go higher, um, especially into, to prices that, you know, are, you know, maybe in the top 10%, 5% of prices, uh, you need the cash market to be there.
6:28
Craig, if you had, uh, one or two things to keep an eye on here as we head into fall harvest next couple of weeks ahead, uh, storylines I guess if we could put it that way, what else are you paying attention to the most here in the weeks ahead, Craig?
26:40
But this is part of the reason why this is going to be a demand bull market going forward, you think?
26:48
Absolutely.
26:48
Because here's what, for it to be, when you get supply side rallies, it's usually you get a quick hit, you know, relatively on the, you know, on the chart, because when you have a supply side rally, the estimates for supply basically come off pretty fast, you know, and then everyone sees the drought effects, and then you're kind of just trying to figure out the details afterwards.
27:08
Once you've established you've lost 5% or 10% of yield.
27:11
Where the market becomes a longer-term rally is if demand, you know, is... is strong, which it is.
27:19
We've seen very strong demand on the corn side, and we continue to do so.
27:23
There's going to be demand for wheat because that demand is inelastic, especially when it comes to human consumption.
29:26
So this is setting up the perfect acreage battle here for 2027, is it not?
