Tell me about the history of that and how you've got to where you are today with just getting the resource consent.
1:03
Yeah, so I mean the history goes like a long way back to 1875 when there was a bathhouse and a hotel which welcomed Aucklanders from the people from the region via steamer ship and has been quoted as being the first commercial thermal resort in New Zealand and I went there back in the 90s after doing a triathlon in Auckland and loved it.
1:28
And then I went back in 2012 and was saddened by the state that it was in.
1:33
And then 10 years after that, then it was demolished.
1:37
So the site has a place that's dear to Aucklanders and Islanders' hearts.
1:44
And we want to bring that back.
1:46
We want to bring it back in a slightly different way than what it was.
2:47
So what is actually involved in the redevelopment?
1:31
And then we'll get specifically into the career and where, what- what's brought you to the current day.
1:35
Yeah.
1:36
So I'm from Falkirk.
1:38
I've been based centrally most of my life, apart from a little bit when I was very young, uh, spent a wee bit of time in the Middle East and down south when I was at university.
1:47
But other than that, I've been based around sort of Larbert, Stenhousemuir, Newcarron area.
1:52
I've recently launched POP Homes, as you say, so I'm the, the founder and director there.
1:57
Um, I've worked in construction for a lot of years.
4:20
... uh, where you're based and what your demographic is.
