Craig, when do you know that this can be solved within the team and when you need to go to the homeowner?

Craig JohnsonGUEST
Well, if it impacts the design, some sort of aspect of like what the finished product is supposed to look like, that's generally when I'll involve the client.

Craig JohnsonGUEST
You know, if we have a good design team, then I can kind of skirt around the client still and, and kind of utilize the design team to help facilitate that decision.

Craig JohnsonGUEST
Let's reach out to the architect, let's reach out to the engineer, and just get those facilitated on our own.

Craig JohnsonGUEST
Um, but generally, yeah, if it's not impacting the design or the overall outcome or look of the house, then any sort of change that won't impact that, we wouldn't go back to the client about.

With these two very different types of foundations, what does high performance mean between the two markets? Is it different?

Craig JohnsonGUEST
I mean, up here, I think the biggest thing is just keeping the temperature of being so far underground from seeping into the house long term.

Craig JohnsonGUEST
We're 10 to 15 feet underground, so keeping that water from coming into the house is a huge thing.

Craig JohnsonGUEST
Um, out here in Park City, we, we do what's called a damp-proof waterproofing of the exterior foundation wall.

Craig JohnsonGUEST
It's kind of like a tar liquid that gets spread along the, the foundation to, to keep water from seeping in.

Kim HibbsHOST
So from a project management standpoint and a superintendent standpoint, you all have to be on your toes to make sure that we're on top of all of this.
