Why doesn't everyone else do it this way, using EEGs and these more objective markers?
15:38
It's a great question.
15:39
When I got into this work 10 or 12 years ago with objective markers, I scratched my head, too.
15:45
But I had a career of negative trials.
15:49
I mean, I like to say I've been involved, for example, in autism with every negative, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-site, large-scale trial.
15:56
We just failed after failed after failure.
15:59
And that made me reconsider our approach because I would take treatments that in clinic, open label treating, off-label use of medicine, two-thirds of patients in clinic would seem to be, quote, improved, whatever that meant.

So for the patients, caregivers, clinicians, investigators, and investors that are listening, what should they know or watch for on the horizon and be excited about as far as the spondygenics programs go?
5:38
And since our audience is clinicians, what would you want clinicians to know about, you know, current treatment and monitoring for managing some of the behavioral and neuropsychiatric syndromes that is present in Fragile X?
6:00
Yeah, so individuals with Fragile X, we really think of three primary domains of symptoms.
6:08
Number one are ADHD symptoms, which are very common in children with Fragile X.
6:13
Those often become apparent as early as toddlerhood, but certainly as children.
6:18
Youth with Fragile X may get into kindergarten, first, second grade.
6:22
That symptom domain is more common in males, but we do see it in some girls with Fragile X. I think our first-line treatment still remains stimulant therapy with either methylphenidate or mixed amphetamine salts.
6:35
failing stimulants.

I know you could talk more on that and some, some other research that is ongoing.
