I was like, I want to bring in like writing about books and, you know, not just like literally what I did today, but just like all sorts of documenting and all that, like a commonplace book, which I know you kind of have all sorts going on in your journals, don't you?
29:50
There's a little bit of everything, but I do have – like singular books like I do have a commonplace notebook and I do have a writing notebook and all that sort of stuff and they don't get touched every single day but there will be days where I am reading like books about writing and they will go into my commonplace notebook but then there's my Bowerbird book which I started last year Because I couldn't find a place in any of my journals for that stuff to go down in.
30:21
And I wanted a centralized place instead of it sporadically living in multiple journals because I wanted to track it visually, but I didn't want to track it through seven different journals.
30:33
So I was like, okay, if I start this... thing in one space and I can I can track it over this course of however many years it takes me to finish this notebook because let's be real it's not going to be finished anytime soon it will be a like a five-year project or something like that to finish one A5 notebook um and it was I wanted to track things that were creatively inspiring my artwork um and color palettes that I was drawn to, things that I had noticed that were influencing my work, which will sometimes end up in my journal like happenstance like it will just end up there because if something's inspiring nine times out of ten I'll be writing about it in my journal or there'll be a photograph or something but I wanted like a a certain place where all that could be funneled into so that I could visually track it in one space instead of trying to find it in in the pages of multiple personal journals and then the idea of bowerbirds would bring little trinkets to create their nests.
31:45
And the way that their nests are built, the way that bowerbirds' nests are built looks like portals.
31:51
And I've always thought that our journals were a portal to our lives.
31:57
And so that's how I decided to call it a bowerbird book because of They go and grab trinkets to build their nests.
