Bill RussellHOST
Um, walk us through that first conversation when a family calls you and says, "We need help." What happens next?

Uh, you know, a lot of things happen next, but re- initially, that first call comes in, and it usually is, it feels like by the time they've got our information and calling us, it's almost desperation.
C

Can you help us?" So we just, we really almost become counselors [laughs] in, in a moment because we just listen, and we let them talk.
C

We say, "What's really going on?" And we, we kind of hear what's going on with mom or dad, or even themselves.

Sometimes people are looking for themselves as well, and we just take that moment just to listen, to guide, and direct them as they're talking because this is all we do.
