Corinne PohlmannGUEST
I was just going to say that I think when you're an employer who wants to hire new young people, you know that part of your role is going to be to actually train that young person how to be an employee.

Corinne PohlmannGUEST
And I think, you know, when you go into those entry-level type of jobs, a lot of employers understand that that's a part of it.

Corinne PohlmannGUEST
Though as part of our research, we also try to tell employers who are hiring younger folks who may not have work experience, you know, to be a bit more patient, to be a bit more clear about the expectations of what it means to be on a job and those sorts of sort of tips and tricks that we provide.

Corinne PohlmannGUEST
But I haven't spoken to dozens and dozens of businesses over the years who have hired young people.

Corinne PohlmannGUEST
Many of them know that that's part of their role is to bring them in when they're 16 or 17 years old, train them on how to be an employee, and then they don't expect to keep them.

And so giving them that financial flexibility, that resource flexibility to be able to keep doing that is going to really make a difference for them.

And what is the size of these businesses? And again, how does it even trickle down to our retail here and consumers?

Corinne PohlmannGUEST
Yeah, I mean, the businesses are really of all sizes, right? A lot of them are small, right down to the individuals who make their own jewelry, for example, and send them to customers directly in the United States, like an online business.

Corinne PohlmannGUEST
So an individual all the way up to businesses that have manufacturing plants that may be doing very specific types of products that they then send to either corporate customers or individuals in the United States.

Corinne PohlmannGUEST
And of course, what does this mean for consumers? Well, right now, those costs are going to be borne by Americans because these are U.S.

Corinne PohlmannGUEST
But Canada has said that they will retaliate starting September 8th, if nothing, of course, happens between now and September 8th.

Libby ZnaimerHOST
Corinne, I mean, part of the problem with this, a big part of the problem with this is the uncertainty it creates.
