You mentioned the Blitz is how tough was it preparing for the Lions and as exotic as they can be with Kelvin Shepherds or DC? How tough was that to prepare for them on a short week?

Like the nice thing about short weeks, because you kind of know what you're going to dial up.

Like the same thing with offense.

Like you kind of keep the same game plan in.

So the smart thing that Joe and the staff did is two weeks ago when we had the extra week before we got ready for the Texans, we started looking at the Lions first.

Like we started looking at them too.

just so we could get ahead of it, ahead of it a little bit.

What's your weekly routine kind of look like body-wise?

Tell me about the relationship you have with 17, how that's grown over the few years, and what it's like to see him come into his own life.

The first thing I'm going to say, I was mad at you a little bit when I first took over center, just how you snapped the ball.

So the first time we get on the center together and his hands are over my left butt cheek, I'm like, what are you doing? And so we work together, now we have our own snap, so it's harder for other centers to come in and snap them because he's unique, but you know how he is.

He doesn't really put his hands underneath you, you've got to find your sweet spot.

So I was a little salty with you at the beginning, but we figured that out.

I don't feel bad.

The last three years, just every year, the communication gets better and better.

My question to you, though, is what is the fattest thing you've ever done for the love of the food game?

right you gotta like fix it

yeah oh yeah farming you gotta fix everything it's a little bit you know when farming it's a lot more like you know welding stuff together and jerry rigging it and getting it getting it to the end uh racing it's all like yeah yeah and then racing it's like how perfect can you get it um but yeah so i got a little change in my pocket and my second year in the nfl and my holy grail was an r35 gtr and uh well 34 what is the holy grail but at the time i thought it was unattainable right and so uh i was sprout scrolling the internet looking for a gtr and i came across an r34 gtr now it was gray market and a little questionable uh but i was like i have to have it i need this and so my first like fun car that i purchased was an r30 a gray market r34 uh gtr I thought I was the king of the world.

Like this was it.

Like, you know, people would ask like, what's your holy grail? Like not a Bugatti, not a Pagani, not a Koenigsegg.

Like it was an R34 GTR and still is.

And so I got that and, you know, I kind of dove all in on the car deal.

And so if I wasn't playing football, if I wasn't training, you know, I was researching cars.

I'm just like, I'm not even going to do it.

How has your relationship really evolved and developed over that time? And what do you like the most about playing with Josh Allen? Really, what makes him special?

What makes him special is just anytime he touches the ball, he could go the distance.

If he could throw it 60 yards through the air, he could just take off, run over people, run through people, just jump over, whatever.

But the thing that really changed about both our games is just our trust in each other.

Now we have full trust that when I get to the line, any calls I make...

he fully goes with or say, hey, like he sees something different, has to change it.

There's no like, hey, I'm the quarterback.

And while he was a GA at Penn State, I kind of want to know, what are your expectations of him as your new head coach there in Buffalo?

But can you tell me about the culture up there and what you think people find when they get there?

Yeah, it's a very close-knit team.

Like doesn't matter, offense, defense, special teams, we're all just very close.

Like I've been a part of teams whereas you got your cliques, your groups.

Not here, it's an entire team that everyone loves hanging out with each other.

It's almost like a college vibe how close we are, 'cause there's not really much to do in Buffalo.

You a lot of times you're snowed in, so these guys, everyone in the room's just very close with one another.

Uh, so yeah, kind of a two-parter from me.

What are you looking forward

to? First, the offensive mind point is going to stay the same.

It's going to be the same offense.

We return four out of five offensive linemen.

Dave's going to do a great job down in New Orleans, so I'm excited to see him play.

But I'm just excited.

Luckily, over the last three years, we haven't had many injuries.
