How difficult is it to balance athletics and academics when you're a Stanford student playing football?

Man, it's tough, and I think that's one of the things that make it so challenging for us athletes out there, but I think obviously everybody knows how hard it is, so even when we're getting recruited, thinking about coming to Stanford, there's so many resources for us.

We have a lot of mandatory study hours that I know a lot of other schools don't have, but I think everybody invests so much time into us that they kind of take a lot of that off our plate, and Obviously, you have to be smart.

You have to know, OK, maybe I'm in off season.

I'm going to load up a little more on classes.

I'm in season.

I may take a little less.

What goes on with the rookies versus the veterans, if you will?
