I'm wondering, are worms on your radar? And how could a producer tell the difference between green feed scours and an active worm burden?
7:53
Yeah, look, I think often, you know, I always expect that common things occur commonly, and certainly worms are a common bowel origin, shall we say.
8:03
And so I would be suspecting if you've got scours, I'd always be checking for worms first.
8:09
Now, you can have what we call nutritional scours, in other words, scours brought on by the you know, the high protein diet or lack of fiber.
8:17
But I think most times, probably nine times out of 10, it's going to be a worm or parasitic cause.
8:23
So I think doing worm egg counts through the winter spring period is a good idea.
8:28
I only did a worm egg count report last night, which was 275, where we consider greater than 200 is sufficient to warrant a drench.

And as we transition into summer, for people who might be holding lambs over summer or might be weaning coming into summer, what should we be thinking about as far as clostridial disease goes and our vaccination programs?
