Like, what did that look like on your end? Because that sounds like chaos, right?

Colin PostGUEST
And actually, it kind of became a blessing in disguise in terms of like, when all of that played out for the timeline of this project.

Colin PostGUEST
So yeah, the grant got awarded in 2024, August 2024, and I started a broader scope of exploratory research.

Colin PostGUEST
And so I got all those interviews done and I talked to game developers, librarians, game studies, faculty who work with games and who want to have digital games accessible for their students, and law and policy experts, so people that do law and policy advocacy work on behalf of libraries and in libraries.

Colin PostGUEST
So I got all that done in fall of 2024 and then something happened in january 2025 uh you know correlation or causation who can say uh but at that point right that's when all the the doge cuts happened um so in march uh 2025 um there was just a lot of uncertainty of like we saw and so it didn't all happen at once that's the other thing too it's like there was these kind of like waves of stuff with NEH and NEA, Endowment for Humanities and Arts, projects getting cut there.

Phil SalvadorHOST
Like, I'm just curious what interacting with all those groups on either side of the sort of the aisle of this topic is like.
