So be as transparent as you can about what your personal take home has looked
22:50
like these last eight years.
22:54
Oh man, where to start this? Where to start this? Is my wife going to listen to this? I don't know.
22:59
it's one is several things several things one uh total transparency i don't i don't make even as much as i was making on a w-2 basis when i left the investing world like i'm still at probably 40 percent of what that number is um every person who runs one of our businesses also makes more than we do and there's probably several people within each of those companies who are making more on a w-2 basis than than what joe and i are making and i think that's that's that's part of the game if you're trying to go this direction and say, Hey, I'm going to have like a leadership, true leadership team in each of these, each of these companies.
23:35
And so, you know, building this, it's probably been frustrating for my wife to see like, Hey, look, like there's four or five other people running these businesses.
23:44
Like you could just do that and make, you know, three times what you're making now.
23:47
It's like, yeah, I think that's, was part of the decision to forego that role and say, I don't want to be the operator.

Tell us about the insurance business, which I think is your most recent acquisition and one you're pretty excited about.
4:49
King, your perspective, from a forensic psychologist's perspective, what are you looking for when someone claims they were suffering from an extreme emotional disturbance, and can it be over a long period of time?
5:01
Absolutely.
5:02
I have evaluated over now 150 killers and mass shooters.
5:07
And there are some things I look for, intense emotion, high levels of depression, high levels of anxiety, high levels of pain, chronic and acute pain.
5:20
So in a sense, I disagree with Mark just from a forensic psychology perspective i know these guys i've seen these guys i've met with them i've met with them in their cells i've looked at them eyeball to eyeball and this condition could be a great legal defense in my humble opinion as a forensic psychologist
10:06
King, how do you know if he's going to tell the truth? If you interview him and ask him about it, how can you know he's not malingering?
10:12
So, yeah, so I would approach the case and how I would know is administer a number of psychological tests, engage in redundancy.
10:23
And, you know, there's tests for malingering also.
16:24
But where do you sit as to grading where Dane Altman and his staff have done with this class?
16:33
Um, so there's a nice little kind of prediction model, uh, from Evan Mia and I believe it puts the team around the 24 to 30 spot overall, um, which is obviously projecting everybody to mesh well and whatnot.
16:49
Um, so if I look at the starting lineup right now, it would be Fred Payne, um, Tyron Riley, Andrew Meadow, um, taylor bull bowen and then either sean stewart or pharaoh compton um i think duane aristote could start by the end of the season at small forward i think that you know maybe we go kind of small ball with taj at potentially the four uh as a rotational piece there i think there's a chance that we could even go small with duane aristote at the fourth um There's a lot to like about Aristotle, too.
17:25
And the kind of phrase that gets thrown around a lot and too much is 3 and D.
17:32
But he can truly do that, but he can also be a three-level scorer.
17:37
So a three-level scorer that can also defend – I mean, that's about all you could ask for.
17:43
A guy who was highly touted out of high school, was on NBA draft radars right away as a freshman, but was stuck behind a ton of draft picks and a ton of talent.
21:33
I think this depth of production coming off the bench could actually be really good.
5:54
But before that, I'm going to pause to see if you have any thoughts on IC or Angie before we move on.
6:00
Yeah, it's interesting.
6:01
And MGM is what, like half the market cap or something like that.
6:04
And then 16% for Angie.
6:06
And then they own a big stake in Turo.
6:09
And then they own the DotDash Meredith business.
6:12
And when I first got interested in IAC, I own shares of Meredith.

24 MINS LATER

30:44
But yeah, maybe start with NCR.
