Like, I found that, you know, I have people in our church that they've have their own idea and view of God that probably is not as radical as thinking that, uh, being a transvestite is something that's okay.

Uh, but, but they do have, uh, things they believe they might would say, "Well, it's not that big of a deal to, to live together."

Hmm.

Or to, to have certain views on race or, or whatever, or even, uh, not think that it is that big of a deal to, um, for two men to be married, or whatever you wanna pick.

So y- i- if, if you're doing that and you're preaching the Bible and you're doing so in a Christ-centered sort of fashion, but you're doing exposition, you are fighting against sort of the false gods that are, that people are making, uh, all day every day.

Your

time is filled with things you didn't mean for that to be the god.

A small g god that fills up your time and thought and even sometimes effort.

It becomes a real god of convenience.

A god that I don't know what preacher said that we love so much because because it requires so little, that's sort of God.

I think that's where a lot of our folks, like I don't think I have very many at Hickory Grove that are actively, like just with great ambition, have something that they are putting before God.

A lot of what I see, especially guys doing, is passively this idol slips in and then just starts to take over like a cancer.

You're choosing created things rather than the creator.
