I mean, she was just like, "I'm just like everybody else and I get up when you get up and I put my boots on the same way" and but you've, you've found yourself, you know, in groups like Cattle Raisers and NCBA and at tables and having conversations with people who are making influential decisions, especially around policy, and so talk a, talk about that and how did you learn to gain confidence in your voice?

I never thought much about it 'cause I grew up in the cattle business and, um, it was, uh, like you said, I was always the only woman and it started out just with our crews.

We'd go work cattle and most of the time I was the only woman out there.

So I never, I, I never, it's just the way it was, but I learned as I ended up getting in organizations and being involved, if you open your mouth you better know what you're talking about because you are going to be scrutinized and that's probably some of the best, I don't know if it was advice or just something I picked up along the way, but I listen a lot and, um- Like I said, don't, don't open your mouth unless you know what you're talking about.

[laughs] So that's, that's the best advice I could give.

But a lot of doors opened.

I was blessed to be with, around some, um, influential people in the industry and, um, they seemed to think I needed to move into leadership, uh, positions.

And so I'd love for you to share a little bit about CBB, what y'all did, um, and your role there.
