It's a heavy book
6:37
... it's very, very heavy.
6:39
Um, but that's for research for, um, a script that I'm writing.
6:42
But I think generally, I really love a memoir.
6:45
I really love, I love fantasy since I've, was a kid.
6:49
I love sci-fi and I love fantasy.
6:52
Um, probably because, I mean, this is not original thinking here, but I get to picture myself in worlds where somebody that looks like me might actually belong.
7:05
That's great.
55:31
But it's me and Clark and Hudson and Carrie Ann and Sheila and Megan and that all goes into the into the brew you know
55:39
yeah just to add to that um yes i did read of course all of this episodic scripts and i read the play we kat and i talked a lot about whether i would watch uh archival footage of the play and she decided kind of on behalf of us and i'm really glad that you did that i wouldn't watch it and i think that was an incredible and very trusting decision because she wanted to give me space to bring, like he said, myself to Carson.
56:12
And we didn't want anything to impede my decisions, my instincts.
56:16
And again, this show is a lot about female intuition and trusting the little voice inside, whether you call that magic or just intuition is up to you.
56:26
But yeah, I think a lot of it is just the balance and mixture of Rap and I and every other cast member having the space to go out and do our own research.
56:36
ponder the themes and the genres and everything, the extensive like source material that you gave us in these scripts and then come together and discuss together and then start to play together when they say action.

What's our barometer for forgiveness and for rehabilitation? What is our limit of enough is enough? So that feels like that's in play as well.
70:12
I also just want to say for Carson specifically, and this is something that very particularly really drew me to her, is that she kind of represents the every woman and girl um because in a patriarchal society there's internalized misogyny you know and um i've definitely been a sufferer of that for a very long time feel like i'm on the other side of that but i think carson represents the woman who who also would misunderstand Baba Yaga and not understand the power of Baba Yaga or if it's even real or trust or believe.

8:42
[laughs] Yeah.
8:42
Especially in Hollywood.
8:43
So I'd had some, I'd had some undesirable experiences, unfortunately, with other females in the industry.
8:52
So I was especially scared to meet Michelle, 'cause she was the female lead of Letterkenny, and I was like, "Oh my God, is she gonna be a nightmare?" Like...
9:01
And then the moment I met her, she just, like...
9:04
I think I was getting dropped off at the hotel that we were staying at, and they, her and some of the guys were leaving.
9:10
And I, like, saw them, and I was like, "Oh God, I'm so scared." And then I opened the door and hopped out, and she went, "[gasps] You must be Clark.
