What did being out in the wilderness give you that everyday life could not?

Well, the thing that I loved the most is not having to do daily admin.

So there was no bills to pay.

There was no laundry to do.

There was no meals to cook.

There was no, like my job was to get on the rig at the start of the day and ride the distance that we'd set.

And then we got picked up at the end of each day, usually by my dad.

Tell me about the documentary.

was there a moment when you kind of realized maybe it was once you started learning more about it or once there was potentially like an acceptance around it or something was there a moment when you kind of realized that your life wasn't going to look like how it was before was there like a crystal clear moment of that or was it just something that kind of happened over time

I think, like I said earlier, the bit about having our son and because our Dared was never going to be in my life in the same way.

that it was when we had him and he was too when I was diagnosed so we were still really in that like the thick of early motherhood or early parenthood um so I think for me I didn't lose outdoor because I or like outdoor experiences because I was diagnosed with MS I kind of part of that the change had to happen because I became a mother as well.

And, you know, I'm not hiking to Everest Base Camp with a two-year-old.

Like there's just not things that are not possible in that way.

But in – so we'd finished our time at the camp.

We'd been there for two and a half years and then we moved back home, back down to the coast, Port Arlington, and – That's when I realized that my symptoms weren't going away.

And I'd love for you to take us back to the moment when you decided that this was even something you wanted to do.

Were you confident that it would accommodate your chair?

Absolutely not.

My wheelchair is, off-road wheelchair is quite different.

It's not your standard.

So I'm currently sitting in what everyone knows and what looks like a wheelchair.

My off-road wheelchair is sort of a bit more like a four-wheeled go-kart, I suppose.

And so the wheels are quite wide, about 80 centimetres in width.

Going into a wheelchair full time, how did you see that ahead of that and how has it been perhaps different from what you were expecting?
