The first single from the album, A Double A Side of Holler and Let Love Lead the Way, scored the girls their ninth number one.

The thing is, I'm somebody that's grown up loving R&B-specific girl bands.

I'm a massive fan of Destiny's Child, so for me personally, I didn't mind.

is one of my favourite songs ever, ever, ever by them.

Like, I love Holla.

I wasn't mad at it, but I fully understand why that switch up in sound definitely shifted some of their fan base.

It's the chaotic

energy of it, man.

That song, like, if I told you to write a pop song, you wouldn't write that song.

Like, that song is weird.

These are the songs that gave birth to, like, if you think about a song like Biology by Girls Aloud, I mean, again, that's all over the gaff.

It's like even just like little things like I'll go back to losing a lot of the mixed race and black kids will be wearing their hair out or bushy and I just think, go for it.

I mean, listen, I'm a monoracial black woman.

I don't want to speak for mixed race black women, but I think just seeing anybody with any modicum of like melanin, especially like in the UK in that era, was always a positive thing.

But have there ever been points in your career where you have tried to conform and you have maybe changed your appearance or your body shape or the way you present yourself?

I can honestly say no.

But the pressure has definitely been there, for sure.

Like, we are constantly reacting to what we're surrounded by, you know, whether it's, like, the TV we watch, the music we listen to, the clothes we're into, like, whatever.

And it has an innate effect on you, for sure.

And I think, you know, working in, like, you know, the creative industry and the entertainment industry, you are constantly surrounded by...
