Do you have examples of other authors or other writers who were using Substack really effectively that people can go and check out?
28:56
Yeah, and I think it depends in what medium you're writing in.
28:59
So, you know, thinking about memoir, Clover Stroud would be one of my go-tos to check out.
29:05
I worked with Clover when she first came to the platform and it did take her a while to work out what she wanted it to be.
29:11
And I think now you'll see she's really found her foot and she's found her voice.
29:15
She paywalls really easily.
29:17
aggressively and i don't mean that in a negative way at all i just mean like she's very strong with like no no this is my paywall this is where it's going and it works our model works so i think definitely check out clover um anna wharton is great she's um journalist more journalistic in her writing but again she has a big community around white ink which is her substack publication And she'll sort of do bits of teaching on the side.

I'm like, oh, yeah, stop.
13:49
Do you think that has affected the work that you do now of wanting to create communities?
13:55
Yeah, I think so.
13:56
I think...
13:57
There's something about what I figured out a few years ago after I had my daughter, I had some therapy because I gave birth to her alone in the pandemic because Dave had COVID.
14:08
So there was this period where there was loads of stuff resurfacing for me around like feeling alone.
14:14
and not feeling safe.
14:15
So I had this beautiful therapy and it really helped me understand why I'd made some of the choices that I made.

So how have you found that as being a pioneer? In the digital space, like how's that felt?
